Work on the Centennial Boulevard paving project took a short pause while we welcomed visitors to Springfield for the Oregon22 men's and women's marathons. Now that the event is over, work is moving forward again. This is the last project funded by General Obligation Bond Measure 20-296 which was passed by Springfield voters in 2018.
Night work on Centennial Boulevard will begin Wednesday, August 10. RiverBend Construction, Inc. will be removing the existing street surface and repaving it with new asphalt. For this phase of work, several lanes will be closed each night with flaggers directing traffic.
Traffic lane closures and construction operations will happen at night on the following dates:
- Wednesday, August 10
- Thursday, August 11
- Sunday, August 14
- Monday, August 15
The center driveway into Centennial Center shopping center will be intermittently closed and there may be delays turning at Prescott and Rainbow Drive. Plan to seek alternate routes and allow plenty of extra time if needed to reach your destinations.
