Classes Begin Monday!

Some of you have recently chosen for your student to become a GCPS Digital Learner at GOC - we are glad to have you! Please note that the first day of classes at GOC is Monday, August 16. You will find a lot of important information below so be sure to read the entire newsletter and visit our website for more information.

Preparing for the

First Week of School

The First Day of class for GOC is Monday, August 16.

Gwinnett Online Campus classes begin on Monday. Students need to make sure they are prepared to begin class, having completed all orientation prior to Monday. If you missed Dr. Ray's LIVE Welcome and Overview, you can watch it HERE. The student orientation sessions from this week are very important to teach students how to work through and navigate courses at GOC. If you missed your session, please watch the recording HERE.

Make sure to visit the Digital Learner Learning Lab and Core Lab Schedules HERE on our website to view when you will have class sessions with a teacher. Please remember that these classes are online, you will not be coming to the GOC campus for any reason. The online rooms will be posted in the course.

Technology Help

If you need help logging into D2L to access your GOC classes, click HERE for directions and video instructions. You will also find directions for accessing GCPS email and logging into Adobe Connect on this same web page.
Email ONE of your teachers if you are having trouble logging into the GCPS portal and need a password reset.
If you need a GCPS portal password reset and do not know who your teachers are, please call the front office.

If you find that you need additional tech help on Monday, we are offering online tech help sessions from 9:00 - 11:00. You can find the online rooms on our website HERE.

Support

Research on Online Learning tells us that the first 10 days are important for success! Click HERE to complete the following tasks each day to ensure you are off to a GREAT START at GOC!

We are offering a variety of Smart Start optional sessions for student support lead by our Student Leaders at GOC. Please click HERE to see the schedule and topics as well as the links to the sessions.

Please reach out to your teachers with questions related to their class. You may also reach out to your counselors for help.
