About the 2024 Season of Peace

September 8th – October 6th

Welcome to the 2024 Season of Peace. This year’s reflections highlight the lives of Presbyterians who have worked to advance peace and justice.

Every fall, the Presbyterian Church’s Peacemaking Program extends an invitation to join with people of faith from around the country and the world for A Season of Peace, a month-long pilgrimage designed to deepen the pursuit of peace for congregations, small groups, families, and individuals. This season is a time of growth, encouragement, challenge, inspiration, and education which invites you to consider your own relationship to peacemaking and justice.

If you're interested in exploring these foundational documents of the Presbyterian Church, register for this 10-12 week fall Zoom class facilitated by Joel Moody, one of the pastors at Sunnyside in South Bend.

We'll meet for an hour on Sunday evenings (beginning on September 8) and learn about the history and content of these confessions together.

From Special Offerings — Support the Peace & Global Witness Offering

As congregations receive the Peace & Global Witness Offering on World Communion Sunday, we recognize they do so with many concerns on their hearts for our siblings around the world. Climate change, violence and the refugee crisis in so many countries are humanitarian disasters of particular concern.
