Dear PWV,
I am pleased to extend an invitation to our final Stated Assembly meeting for 2024. We will be hosted for our hybrid meeting at Lafayette Central Presbyterian Church ~ 31 N Seventh St. ~ Lafayette, IN 47901. The meeting will commence at 10am EST. We are invited to stay afterwards for fellowship over lunch.
During our celebratory meeting, we will give thanks as we hear a video report from our commissioners to the GA, install new Presbytery leadership, discuss and vote on GA Amendments to the Book of Order, and honor the years of service from Vicki Dreibelbis – our outgoing Presbytery Administrative Director.
I am particularly pleased to share that we will be receiving the Christmas Joy offering. This offering provides assistance to current and retired church workers in their time of need and also provides for development of our future leaders at Presbyterian-related schools and colleges equipping communities of color.
Despite the cold weather in December, the meeting will be a warm reminder of all the work that we do together in service to God and one another. Please plan to join us in person or on Zoom as we continue to serve together.

Resilience Is a Practice
LeaderWise recognizes that as leaders and as helping professionals you are holding a lot right now! November 14, 2024 - Proposed Amendments to the Book of Order
On Tuesday, December 3, 2024, the Presbytery Assembly will be taking up the question of the proposed amendments to Part II of our Constitution, otherwise known as the Book of Order. In addition, the Assembly will be considering an Episcopal-Presbyterian Agreement on Local Sharing of Ministries. To help our minister members and elder commissioners make an informed decision we asked former Stated Clerks and General Assembly Commissioners Nancy Becker, Stan Kessler and Linda Long to review the proposed amendments and comment on those amendments as well as review the ecumenical agreement.
We thank Nancy, Stan, and Linda for their willingness to tackle this task and give us their opinions. We are indebted to their fine work as we make it available to the members of this presbytery. Use their comments for discussions, study, and debate. This review and subsequent comments are meant to inform and recommend, but we are mindful that God is Lord of the Conscience (F-3.0101).

As many of you know, the Pentium Chip of our Presbytery a/k/a Vicki Dreibelbis is retiring at the end of this year. For 16 years, Vicki has served God and blessed us with her energy, intelligence, imagination, and love.
We will share our thanks, blessings, and farewells with Vicki at the 12/3 hybrid assembly at Lafayette, Central. As part of that thanks, the Personnel Ministry Team invites you and/or congregation to share a monetary gift, which will be included in a collective farewell financial gift.
