CHILD CARE

CONCLUSION

GOED's Childcare Grant has concluded, marking a significant step in addressing the state’s childcare crisis. The grant successfully allocated funding to recipients for new and expanding childcare facilities, leading to an increase in licensed childcare slots statewide. This grant helped support the creation of sustainable childcare solutions, enabling more parents to enter or remain in the workforce. By partnering with local communities and businesses, the program fostered innovative approaches to meet local childcare needs. The initiative also emphasized the importance of quality, affordability, and accessibility, resulting in a stronger support system for families. Overall, this has made a lasting impact on economic growth and workforce stability in South Dakota.
