Best Amateur And Professional Women Return To Compete at Mistwood Golf Club – A Chicagoland Favorite! 
Named in honor of the late, great Phil Kosin, the 27th Annual Illinois Women's Open has become one of the premier events for women's golf in the Midwest region. Taking place this year on Monday, July 25 and Tuesday, July 26 at Mistwood Golf Club, it is open to both professionals and amateurs, and consistently draws some of the best female golfers in the state, country, and world! Entries are open to all female professionals, and female amateurs with a current USGA Handicap Index of 15.0 or less. Contestants must be 14 years of age as of July 25, 2022. Registration deadline is July 18, 2022. 
 
Format for the tournament is a 36-hole Championship. There will be no cut in between rounds and players will be repaired after the completion of round one. Come on out and cheer for your favorite player or check out the newest future stars of women’s golf.  
Largest Purse in Epson Tour History Coming to The Pete Dye Course at French Lick Resort  – August 1 through August 7
The Epson Tour, the official qualifying tour of the LPGA, announced at the beginning of 2022 the creation of the French Lick Resort Charity Classic, hosted by the French Lick Resort in southern Indiana.
 
The 72-hole event on The Pete Dye Course at French Lick will be contested on August 1-7, 2022 (4 Days of Championship Rounds) and will feature a prize pool of $335,000, the largest purse in the Epson Tour’s 41-year history. The previous record-setting purse ($300,000) on the “Road to the LPGA” was offered by the 2019 Zimmer Biomet Championship hosted by Nancy Lopez at Grand National on the Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail.

By elevating the tournament experience for the Epson Tour, French Lick Resort sets an example for our current and future partners of how we can ally to support these professional athletes chasing their dreams.”
 
For years, French Lick Resort has hosted the Epson Tour on the historic Donald Ross Course. It previously hosted the LPGA Championship in 1959 and 1960, and recently crowned Patty Tavatanakit (Chevron Championship winner) as the Donald Ross Classic winner in 2019, and Casey Danielson who won the 2021 Donald Ross Classic at French Lick Resort to secure her LPGA Tour card for 2022.
