Gulf Star project focused on marine debris education begins in Tampa Bay

The Florida Aquarium recently hosted staff from GOMA and our Gulf Star partner, Motiva Enterprises, to kick off a new project focused on marine debris education. Students in Tampa Bay, Florida, will investigate ways to prevent marine debris while learning in the classroom, participating in clean-up events, and creating art using collected debris. We are excited to build these partnerships for a healthier Gulf of Mexico.

Share your successes by completing a short survey. The goal of the Marine Debris Cross-Team is to address marine debris and its impacts to habitats, wildlife, and economies through a coordinated approach.
