What Is a GUL?
It is one of the most affordable type of permanent life insurance policies. However, it functions similar to a term policy in that there is no investment component (hence its affordability), but it is designed to last up to a certain age, not for a set period – it’s meant for the long haul. It’s a level premium plan that pays a guaranteed death benefit from age 85 to 121. It may also offer some flexibility and optional riders, such as return of premium and living benefits.

LEGAL & GENERAL: July 31st will be the last day that Legal & General will accept traditional paper life insurance applications (LIAs) for Banner (non-NY) business. After July 31, the traditional paper LIA (ICC08-LIA and state variations except for NY) will be rejected and all applications must be submitted digitally.
