A Note from the Admin Office

The Director is out on FMLA leave through the end of 2023. In her absence, staff members from the Grafton Public Library and the Town of Grafton are working in cooperation to keep things running smoothly and provide the same level of service to patrons.

A heartfelt thank-you to:

  • Jen McNeil from the Children’s Department for updating the website and making a number of corrections and additions to EventKeeper.
  • Board of Library Trustees who have come in to sign warrant sheets so that bills can continue to be paid on time.
  • Town Administrator, Evan Brassard, and Assistant Town Administrator, William Blake, for attending to a number of necessary details in conjunction with Town departments and state agencies, and maintaining communication with library department heads to provide continued support.
  • Special thanks to Assistant Town Administrator, William Blake, for continuing to manage building and construction issues as well as going above and beyond in continuing to support our library staff.

Reconstruction Update

Many thanks to our patrons and visitors for their continued patience as the Children’s Room and Community Room remain closed and the Friends Corner is temporarily suspended awaiting reconstruction from the flood in August. New vinyl plank flooring has been selected for the Children’s Program Room and Children’s Staff Workroom. Spray foam insulation has been installed. Construction should begin shortly to rebuild walls and paint, but unfortunately, we cannot provide a definitive timeline by which the work will be completed.
