You are invited…
June is a time for celebrations – for graduates and fathers (dads & grads), Juneteenth (June 19th), Pride Month, National Donut Day (first Friday), Flag Day (June 14th), Solstice (June 20th), and many more.
I would like to add one more day of celebration to your calendar – June 21st. This is when the Grafton Public Library will celebrate (and I mean celebrate!) our Children’s Room being re-opened. I know, I know – the Children’s Room has been open since last year. That is true, but by the time the Children’s Room re-opened in November, we were heading into numerous holidays and the colder weather was fast approaching – so, we decided it wasn’t the time for a proper celebration. That doesn’t mean that we didn’t want to celebrate the room re-opening, jus that it wasn’t the right time for it.
Well, the time is now!
Please join us for a celebration of the Children’s Room on Saturday, June 21st on the Grafton Common starting at 9:00 AM with a variety of inflated-bouncy houses and obstacle courses and other fun activities as well as a food truck – and then, at 1:00 PM a concert presented by Mr Kim! We will also have our wonderful Children’s Room staff present to lead the festivities. In the event of rain, the celebration will take place on July 12th.
And, with Summer on the way, if you are looking for something to do… let’s talk museum passes!
The Grafton Public Library has a number of passes (that number is 20, by the way) for you to borrow, providing free or reduced admission to many museums. If you are looking for a quick jaunt some weekend or are planning a “staycation” (neither staying at home, nor venturing too far away), I bet we have a museum pass that you will find interesting – Concord Museum, Ecotarium, Museum of Fine Arts Boston, Old Sturbridge Village, Willard House and Clock Museum, and many more… Please visit the Museum Passes page on our website to reserve your next adventure.
And if you have a favorite museum that we do not have a pass for, let me know – perhaps we coud add it to our collection.
