Expansion Update
Construction Update
The Library Expansion and Renovation Project has gone out to bid at $12.8 million. The project posted for 30 days with subcontractor bids due August 19 and general contractor bids due August 28. Five contractors submitted bids ranged from $10.5-12.6 million. Building committee will August 29 to review bids, and will make a recommendation to the Select Board to contract with a general contractor. It is anticipated it might take the construction team a few weeks to mobilize; a groundbreaking will be scheduled for this fall. The Library remains open the same hours with the same services in temporary quarters at 53 N. Main Street, North Grafton, in the former St. Andrews church facility.
