How to Introduce Orthokeratology into Your Practice

This month’s newsletter focuses on orthokeratology. This very effective method of myopia management and how you can help build your practice with this modality was the subject of our July webinar from Dr. Roxanna Potter. Dr. Potter, who established a private practice in a Toledo, OH suburb upon completing a Cornea and Contact Lens residency program in 2006 at the Michigan College of Optometry, has built her practice on the fitting of all types of GP lenses including sclerals, multifocals, irregular cornea, and orthokeratology. She authors the GP insights column for Contact Lens Spectrum and is a long-time advisory board member of the GPLI and has contributed to many resources including her many staff training webinars for the GPLI staff module. Our many resources pertaining to orthokeratology are also featured in this issue. We also recently had our quarterly webinar for students pertaining to how to perform clinical research and the benefits associated with it as presented by Dr. Erin Tomiyama, who has completed a Cornea and Contact Lens residency, MS degree, and most recently a PhD program at the University of Houston prior to joining the faculty at the Southern California College of Optometry.
