The GRA has received reports of phishing emails being sent on behalf of our organization and our Board officers. As a reminder, the GRA staff and our officers will never ask you to transfer funds to any staffer, officer, member, or volunteer for any reason. If we do contact you, we will properly identify ourselves through email and by phone call. If you ever have questions about the validity of a communication from the GRA, please do not hesitate to contact us directly by email or call us (404) 467-9000.

13th Annual Taste Of Georgia Legislative Reception
This annual event is an opportunity for GRA members to showcase their food to elected officials and for our legislators to network with our state’s second largest employer. The honorees of the 2022 Georgia Grown Executive Chef Program will also be recognized.

Here We Go Again: Funding Deadline Haunts Congress
The House is expected to pass this week legislation to fund the government beyond Feb. 18, while the Senate may not vote on a funding bill until next week. The next spending vehicle is likely to be another continuing resolution that could extend into mid-March, giving Congress more time to develop a broader funding package (in which the Association is pushing to replenish RRF).

House Passes Bill to End Forced Arbitration in Some Cases
Yesterday, the House passed bipartisan legislation that would ban the enforcement of mandatory arbitration clauses in cases involving sexual assault or sexual harassment. The Senate could vote on the measure this week and is expected to pass the bill as well.
