Tejano Center is 1 of 10 local nonprofit project sites participating in the SERVE HOUSTON AmeriCorps Program and invites you to consider LaTiendita, a participating project site. UNCF Scholarships & Internships
UNCF manages various scholarship programs and each program has its own eligibility criteria, open/close dates and required documentation.

UNCF awards more than $100 million in scholarships annually to students attending more than 1,100 schools across the country, including a prestigious network of 37 HBCUs. Learn more about scholarships here.

Horatio Alger Career & Technical Scholarship
Scholarships are awarded to students who have faced and overcome great obstacles in their lives who wish to pursue a career or technical education at an accredited community college or technical school in the United States.

The Donohue Family SkillPointe Scholarship
Scholarships are available to individuals of all backgrounds pursuing vocational training in industries such as construction, communications, energy, healthcare, manufacturing, public service, technology, and transportation.

Bryan Cameron Impact Scholarship
The Cameron Impact Scholarship is a four-year, full-tuition, impact-driven undergraduate scholarship awarded annually to 10-15 exceptional high school students who have demonstrated excellence in leadership, community service, extracurricular activities, and academics. Deadline: September 9, 2022. The Gates Scholarship
The Gates Scholarship (TGS) is a highly selective, last-dollar scholarship for outstanding, minority, high school seniors from low-income households.

Thurgood Marshall College Fund
TMCF Scholarships are given to outstanding students, ambitious and qualified, who plan to earn a baccalaureate, graduate or professional degree. Most scholarships are one year, non-renewable unless otherwise indicated.

Early Childhood Education Program
A community-based free public school in partnership with Harris County Precinct 2, the Leonel Castillo Early Childhood STEM Academy offers a high quality early childhood education program, full day Pre-K3 & Pre-K4, in Houston's Near Northside.

North East STEM Academy Enrolling 6th & 7th Grade

The Tejano Center Affordable Housing Program delivers a full range of homebuyer counseling and education services aimed at increasing homeownership opportunities for low to moderate Income families.
