Gratitude is a huge YES to the world. Today and every day, we are so grateful for YOU, our volunteers, organizers, staff and donors – and for all the friends we've made along the way. In honor of this, we're reposting the gratitude-inspired newsletter opening titled "YES" from November 12, 2020 – just after the election had been called for President-elect Joe Biden. Here it is.
Election Night 2016, I couldn't stop saying the word “NO.” Since the 2020 Election was called, I can’t stop saying, “YES.”
Yes is the most positive word in the language. Yes opens us. Yes embraces. Yes empowers.
It started with a small yes. Yes, I’ll go to a meeting. Yes, I’ll volunteer for a voter drive. Yes, I’ll donate a little.
Then the yes grew. Yes, I’ll work as long as it takes. Yes, I'll lead this meeting. Yes, I’ll make activism a permanent part of my life.
We were brave. We found friends, ventured into our nearest forest of no’s and maybes, and emerged with a few more yeses every time.
We learned to not be scared by no. Not the small no of a stranger at a voter drive. Not the staggering no of Mitch McConnell and the Republicans, the Party of No. Not even Trump, the Human No.
And four years later, 75 million of us showed up to say yes. Despite the pandemic, the weaponized postal service, and every type of racist, classist voter suppression...
75 million of us shouted yes, sang yes, whispered yes, wept yes… and voted yes.
Yes to America. Yes to democracy. Yes to the rights of every single human being. Yes to healthcare, yes to racial equity, yes to addressing the climate crisis. Yes to kindness and soul, yes to rebuilding our economy while helping our vulnerable. Yes to nurturing our talents, yes to science, yes to art, yes to the hard work that comes next.
And you know what happened.
WI, MI, and PA came home, restoring the Blue Wall.
AZ flipped for the first time in 24 years, and GA flipped for the first time in 28.
We saved the world.
For four years we dreamed of this moment. We dreamed there would be dancing in the streets.
There was.
Yes we can. Yes we did. Yes we will again!
(And we're saying yes to a Thanksgiving Holiday by making this newsletter short and sweet! Will we be back next week with all the bells and whistles? Yes!)

WEEKLY POSTCARD PARTY
Have you ever wanted to write voter registration postcards in a group from the comfort of your kitchen table? Then our weekly virtual postcarding parties are right up your alley! We are taking this Wednesday off for Thanksgiving but we'd love to have you join Postcarding Queen Laurie Mendik at the next one: Wednesday, December 1 from 2-3p PT.

THURSDAY, DECEMBER 2:
BYOP TEXTING BOOTCAMP
Get ready to BYOP – Bring Your Own Phone (*plan)! We're taking this week off for Thanksgiving, but we'll be back with full bellies, full hearts and renewed enthusiasm for bootcamping next Thursday, December 2 at 4p PT. We’ll train you how to text from your computer, using your data plan. Once trained, you can do this on your own time, whenever you like!
We're texting Wisconsin in honor of our recent Blue Cheese event with Ben Wikler and the yeoman's work he's doing there in the fight against the GOP's naked anti-democracy shenanigans. Let's register new Wisconsin Democrats and get Democrats elected up and down the Badger State ballot! ...especially a new senator to replace Republican—and obvious Russian asset—Ron Johnson!

SATURDAY, DECEMBER 4:
HOLIDAY JEOPARDY PARTY
Get your Ugly Sweater on and join us at an actual rip-roaring, in-person party (remember those?) on Saturday, December 4 at 7p PT in Northridge, CA. Contributions will support three female grassroots candidates running for office in California, and Field Team 6 too. Each candidate – and Field Team 6 Founder Jason Berlin – will host their own segment of Jeopardy.
It's a multicultural holiday mixer with Christmas, Hanukkah, and Kwanzaa performers, plus a White Elephant gift exchange, raffle prizes, and an upside down Christmas tree you can help decorate. So come eat some mind-blowing tacos with Field Team 6 friends and fellow volunteers, and pour out some spiked eggnog in honor of the late, great Alex Trebek. Get tickets or donate here.

BLUE STAR RISING!
Texas Republicans have gone too far: attacking voting rights, women's rights... even the right to not get sick and die simply because a neighbor or a moronic governor don't believe in science.
Now Democrats across Texas are fired up and ready for a change. But it's going to take work to overcome all the anti-voter machinery. Join Field Team 6 for an in-depth update with Mike Collier, 2018 Democratic nominee (and current candidate) for Lieutenant Governor – and rising star State Rep. Victoria Neave, who left the state to stop passage of the worst of the anti-voter laws. And help support our campaign to register new Democrats in Texas!
