Blanche A. Nixon / Cobbs Creek Library

GREYHAWK was hired to provide enhanced design and construction phase commissioning services for mechanical systems for the Blanche A. Nixon / Cobbs Creek Library as part of the City of Philadelphia Rebuild program. Serving the Cobbs Creek community since 1925, the library is included on the Philadelphia Register of Historic Places. The project addresses structural damage and includes envelope repairs, building system and ADA upgrades, and new finishes, with September 2024 completion.

Commissioning Services:

Lawncrest Recreation Center and Lawncrest Branch Library

GREYHAWK was hired to provide enhanced design and construction phase commissioning services for mechanical systems for two projects that are part of the City of Philadelphia Rebuild program. Lawncrest Recreation Center is a Philadelphia Parks & Recreation facility. Lawncrest Library is a branch of the Free Library of Philadelphia. The Recreation Center scope of work is scheduled for completion in September 2024. The Library scope of work is scheduled to finish in Spring 2025.

Commissioning Services:

PA State Police Academy and Bureau of Emergency Special Operations (BESO) Modernization

GREYHAWK was hired to provide design phase commissioning services as part of the Pennsylvania State Police Academy and Bureau of Emergency and Special Operations (BESO) Modernization project. Part of a larger pilot project the Pennsylvania Department of General Services (DGS) is undertaking to develop alternative and more efficient project procedures and delivery methods, the project emphasizes Lean principles focusing on collaboration and continuous improvement while delivering customer value through streamlined processes. The project scope intends to modernize the Academy and BESO and improve site flow to accommodate modern law enforcement training, improve security, and meet current life, health, and safety standards. GREYHAWK will commission several different types of mechanical systems designed to provide efficient, sustainable, and environmentally friendly functionality and a high-quality aesthetic. Completion and commissioning will be phased over the next five years.
