Rowan Virtua Nursing School at Rowan University
Spring is in full swing and with it comes new growth, fresh opportunities, and exciting progress across our projects. At Rowan University, that momentum is taking shape in a major way with the development of a new, state-of-the-art nursing school on the institution's West Campus, a partnership between Rowan University and Virtua Health.
GREYHAWK is proud to provide construction management services for this 42,238-square-foot, two-story facility, designed to support the next generation of healthcare professionals. Working alongside Garrison Architects supporting the design effort, the project brings together a collaborative effort focused on delivering a high-quality, forward-thinking educational environment.
Much like the season itself, this project has been defined by careful planning and steady growth. During pre-construction, GREYHAWK worked closely with the client and design teamto develop and maintain the project budget and schedule, provide constructability reviews, plan site logistics, and guide the bid and award process.
Construction phase is being led on-site by Senior Construction Manager Joe Donnelly. When completed, the facility will feature 10 classrooms, 4 simulation rooms, 2 large skills labs, 2 exam rooms, a 200-seat lecture hall, a student lounge, and 20 administrative offices. The project also includes a new 120-vehicle parking lot with five electric vehicle charging stations, supporting both accessibility and sustainability.
Now nearing completion, the project is in its final stages, with our team actively on-site each day overseeing the construction, provided by Ogren Construction, and coordinating with all stakeholders, managing closeout activities, and ensuring that every detail aligns with the project’s goals. From leading project meetings to resolving final punch list items in real time, GREYHAWK remains committed to delivering a seamless process from start to finish.
In addition, GREYHAWK is supporting the project’s long-term performance through HVAC system review and commissioning, including building automation system (BAS) verification, operations and maintenance manual review, training validation, and management of testing, adjusting, and balancing (TAB) services.
As April brings new energy and momentum, this project reflects the essence of the season—building, evolving, and preparing for a strong future. Stay tuned as we put the finishing touches on this impactful educational facility and prepare for its completion.
