GREYHAWK Celebrates the Ribbon-Cutting and Groundbreaking Ceremonies for Four Notable School Projects

Back-to-school season was a time of celebration as GREYHAWK attended the opening of three projects and the ceremonial groundbreaking of a fourth project.

School #16 | Paterson, N.J.
On September 1, GREYHAWK participated in the official opening ceremony for the new $62 million School #16. The LEED Gold-anticipated 109,500-SF facility will accommodate 700 children in Pre-K through eighth grade. GREYHAWK served as construction manager from pre-construction in April 2014 through close-out and occupancy.

Frank J. Cicarell Academy | Elizabeth, N.J.
On September 28, GREYHAWK attended the official dedication of this $64 million state-of-the-art renovated high school. The 183,000-SF school will serve 1,280 high school students. GREYHAWK provided construction management to deliver the school on time and on budget.

Business and Corporate Center | Rowan College at Gloucester County | Glassboro, N.J.
On October 7, GREYHAWK marked completion of the final project in a campus-wide expansion as part of the NJ Higher Education Bond. Renovation of the 24,600-SF facility enables the college to house all business classes and faculty in a single facility while serving as a resource for the local business community to engage in education and career programs. GREYHAWK served as construction manager throughout the entire expansion.

Paul Robeson Community School of the Arts | New Brunswick, N.J.
Amid ongoing construction, a ceremonial groundbreaking took place on November 3 for the $47 million addition and renovation that will double the school's capacity. GREYHAWK is providing construction management services through occupancy in September 2018.

GREYHAWK Quick and Simple Tips
BUILDING COMMISSIONING - WHAT'S IN IT FOR ME?

Occupant Comfort. Building Systems Efficiency. Energy Use Reduction. Translation: Cost Savings.
"What's in it for me?" is one of the the most frequently asked questions by building owners. But building commissioning offers plenty of answers.  Occupant comfort  created by optimizing indoor air quality attracts customers, lowers maintenance complaints, and enhances safety of the occupied space. Building systems efficiency created by integrating and coordinating building systems results in less maintenance troubleshooting and fewer repairs. Energy use reduction through optimization and control is easily measurable. All of the above translate to operational cost savings.
