PROMOTIONS ASSISTANT (PART-TIME)

SUMMARY
The Promotions assistant is accountable and reports directly to the Promotions Coordinator. He/She will be responsible to provide administrative services to Garden River Bingo Enterprises Player's Club and its members as well as the Promotions department.

DUTIES & RELATED TASKS:
  • Maintain up to date information for all Player's Club members and Special Events;
  • Process all player's club information for both new and existing player's club members. Including new requests for members and renewals of current membership;
  • Data Entry-- Inputting points up to 4 times weekly into the player's club data base;
  • Generating reports from the database;
  • Issuing different reward levels, expiry notices and birthday rewards to player's club members;
  • Being able to answer specific questions from Player's Club members in regards to their accounts;
  • Handle any customer complaints or inquiries on a face to face basis in a polite and courteous manner;
  • Assisting the Promotions Coordinator in preparing for special events throughout the year;
  • Changing the outside promotions sign frequently;
  • Mark out tables and assist in preparing for any major bingos or events;
  • Assist in the purchasing of special event prizes;
  • Paper work, updating the different reward point levels, player's club sheets, birthday information, etc.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Diploma in Office Administration or equivalent work experience;
  • Minimum of two years (2) experience in a general office administration setting;
  • Ability to work well independently and as a team member;
  • Must have some knowledge and awareness of bingo operations;
  • Must have pleasant, courteous, and professional personality to deliver quality customer service;
  • Must be willing to work flexible hours and/or shift work;
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and written;
  • Ability to represent the GRFN Bingo Enterprises in a professional, courteous and efficient manner;
  • Must possess excellent computer skills to operate MS work, Excel, Power Point, Access, Outlook, Publisher and the internet;
  • Must be willing to give a CPIC as a condition of employment;

  • Must possess a valid driver's license and have access to a vehicle.
SALARY RANGE: $12.00 per hour up to 28 hours

CUSTODIAN / MAINTENANCE & SECURITY WORKER


SUMMARY: The Custodian & Maintenance is responsible for providing janitorial and maintenance services to the Garden River First Nation Bingo Enterprises in accordance with the rules and regulations of the GRFN Bingo Enterprises Operating Manual. The Custodian & Maintenance Worker is directly responsible and reports to the Maintenance Supervisor.

DUTIES & RELATED TASKS:
  • Performs janitorial and maintenance duties on a daily, weekly or seasonal basis to maintain the cleanliness, appearance, safety and sanitation of the bingo hall facility and grounds by:
  • Gather and dispose of all waste paper and garbage from building and transport waste to garbage dump;
  • Sweep/dust mop, scrub, buff and wax vinyl floor surface;
  • Wash and disinfect washroom floors, taps, basins, stalls, mirrors and toilets;
  • Move/rearrange/set-up table and chairs for cleaning and bingo sessions;
  • Clean all furniture and equipment;
  • Replenish paper towels, toilet tissue and soap dispensers;
  • Vacuum rug surface in offices, stairs and hallways, etc.
  • Maintain all janitorial equipment and tool inventory as required;
  • Wash & disinfect tables, chairs and windows;
  • Check interior for damaged walls/doors/windows, etc. and repair as required;
  • Close and lock all doors and turn off all electrical equipment and set alarm to secure the building and inspect building exterior nightly to check security
  • Pick up and dispose debris from parking lot;
  • Performs building exterior inspection for maintenance repairs as per schedule;
  • Reports violations and/or unsafe situations to the General Manager.
  • Performs other related duties as directed by the General Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Knowledge of custodial and maintenance practices and related equipment operations;
  • Minimum of two (2) years work experience in janitorial and maintenance operations;
  • Ability to lift and manipulate heavy objects such as tables, chairs, in a safe manner (Up to 100 lbs);
  • Ability to prepare and maintain basic records and reports;
  • Ability to understand, follow and enforce safety procedures;
  • Must be willing to work night shifts and be alone in facility;
  • Must be willing to provide a CPIC as condition of employment and be free of criminal record;
  • Must be willing to start immediately.
  • Valid Driver's License.
