March is Women's History Month

The National Women’s History Month’s theme for 2024 celebrates “Women Who Advocate for Equity, Diversity and Inclusion.” The theme recognizes women throughout the country who understand that, for a positive future, we need to eliminate bias and discrimination entirely from our lives and institutions.

Learn more about the theme and download a toolkit with resources for the classroom and community from National Women's History Alliance.

March 8 is International Women's Day, and the theme is #InspireInclusion. Find events, resources, and a toolkit on the International Women's Day website.

As a part of Greater Richmond SCAN’s strategic planning and Child Advocacy Center re-accreditation processes, we are seeking feedback from members of our community. The community needs assessment survey was developed to examine the strengths and challenges recognized in this community and the information gathered will be used to identify needs and inform our programs and services. Please take a few moments to complete the survey and share it with your networks so we can reach as many people as possible. Those who complete the assessment and enter their email will be entered to win a $50 Visa gift card. We are hoping to collect all responses by March 8.

Thank you so much for your help!

A Place for Parents is a weekly, virtual group open to anyone caring for children. Contact Kanika McBride at kmcbride@grscan.com for more info!

After years of frustration about developing father support groups, Illinois Parents Care & Share attempted a new approach for group development—getting the community involved and aligned around fatherhood first. During this webinar, you will learn about the roots of their work, what their research has uncovered, the lessons they are learning and responding to, and how it has opened the door to more fatherhood programming and engagement than they ever envisioned.
