With effective counseling and communication, licensees can provide buyers assistance, analysis, advice and advocacy delivering a mindful experience the consumer anticipates and deserves. GSAR encourages members to visit NAR’s dedicated settlement agreement resources website at facts.realtor to help you further understand the proposal. This site includes answers to frequently asked questions, the settlement agreement and is continually updated with videos and information.


The REALTOR® Magazine article about the settlement provides a way to share the truth while dispelling misinformation that has been commonly reported by the media and others.


If you get asked by clients, customers or other consumers, we suggest you use the information from NAR and share that there is still much to be determined over the coming weeks. As always, brokers should ensure their agents are following office standard operating procedures, currently NAR and MLS rules and state law.

CNYIS shutoffs for non-payment take place today; office shutoff set for April 11

The CNYIS MLS shutoff for agents who have not paid their bills will take place today, April 1 and a $75 fee will be added. This must be paid to reinstate your membership. Office shutoff will occur on April 11. No fees will be waived. Dues can be paid in your member portal.

GSAR office building closures

The GSAR office building will be closed on April 8 and 12. Staff will be working from home on both days and will be available to assist members. The office will be closing at 3 p.m. on April 10.

CNY Fair Housing hosting birdhouse paint and sip on April 3

CNY Fair Housing is hosting a paint and sip event on April 3 at Miller's Crossing. The painted birdhouses will be auctioned off during its Birdhouses For Fair Housing Event on April 17. Paint and sip participants should bring a birdhouse to paint. Paint supplies and brushes will be provided by Miller's Crossing. Learn more about the paint and sip and the auction.
