A New Home for Families First
|
|
Construction for the new Portsmouth location is moving right along! Above is a recent photo of the Greenleaf Woods building as it starts looking less like a gym, and more like a community health center.
We are expecting to receive access in November, then IT will do their thing and furniture will be moved in. We don’t have an exact move-in date yet, but will keep you posted as we get closer. For now, Families First employees should purging any items you don't need, including scanning files so you can bring less paper.
NH Gives continues through 5 pm on June 9. Here are our NH Gives pages:

Meet the IT Team
and play the Fun Facts game
|
|
Each month, we feature a different department in the newsletter. This month, meet the IT team and see if you can guess which fun facts go with which person.
But first: IT Manager Shawn Linscott wants to remind all staff that the best way to get IT help is to use the Help Desk icon on your desktop. He also notes: "It is common for there to be questions or additional info needed that is put into the ticket after you submit it. We are finding that we often not getting any response to these questions, which will delay your reported issue from being resolved. When an update or question is put into a ticket, you will receive an email with that information, etc. Please help us help you by responding to the questions in the ticket! Change is a constant in Information Technology; it is as they say, a 'journey not a destination' -- there is always more to be done!"

Fun Facts about IT Team Members
Guess who said what, then scroll down to see if you are right!
a. I have four kids and am a cancer survivor.
b. I am the Mom of one son, 33-year-old Andrew, and a black lab, 5-year-old Chug.
c. I love to travel and do so every chance I get, enjoy hanging out with my family and friends. I rode a camel in the Sahara Desert and a motorcycle through the Teton mountains. I also like to refinish and repurpose furniture in my spare time.
d. I have a twin brother, I’m learning to play guitar, I grew up in Beverly MA, I’m a big soccer fan and my favorite team is Leicester City FC in the English Premier League.
e. My father has done extensive work on tracing our family tree on his side, and apparently our family was chased out of Scotland/Ireland for trying to overthrow the English government, and we came to America illegally as criminals of the crown and were smuggled in boats to Ellsworth, Maine.
f. I can play five musical instruments to varying degrees of success - guitar, bass guitar, French horn, violin and mellophone.

2-4-6-8: Who Do We Appreciate?
|
|
See Something? Say Something!
Going above and beyond is just what we do, but being recognized for it is always special. If you catch someone caring, take a minute to write about it in a Star Card / Shout Out. Use one of the postcards found in our staff lounges or the Staff Shout Out icon on your desktop. Your comments will be shared with the person you appreciate (can be anonymous) and also read at All-Staff meetings. Feeling appreciated is great for morale, and increasing the amount of appreciation going around in our workplace is something all of us can help with.

If you don't have this meeting on your Outlook calendar, please write to HRGroupMailbox@goodwinCH.org. You can also find the meeting schedule and Zoom links on the ADP home page in the Mark Your Calendar section.
