Volunteer Opportunity

Parent Work Party!

When:  Saturday, August 6 - 9:00 am to 12:00 pm
Where: Good Shepherd Lutheran School

We are in need of parent volunteers to help spread wood chips and sand between the two playgrounds.  Bring gloves, water, wheelbarrows, rakes and shovels.
If you are available to help and would like to get a jump start on your volunteers hours, please contact the school office.

Adults only please.
2016-17 Enrollment Information

Back to School Packets will be mailed home next week.

ParentsWeb's Web Form Documents and Resource Documents were due by July 15.  If you are missing any documents, a list will be provided in your Back to School Packet.  Those documents are required by the first day of school.

Students missing any required documents or forms on August 18 will not be permitted to start school.

If you have questions pertaining to ParentsWeb or any documents, please contact the school office, we are here to help!
Preschool News

There are still spaces available for next year!  Enrollment Agreements have been mailed home.  Please review your Enrollment Agreement and return a signed copy to the office.

2015-16 Chapel Offerings

During the 2015-16 School Year, our students donated just under $2,520 through weekly chapel offering.  

Chapel offerings were split between two charities, Gilead House, a local transitional house for single mothers in need, and Agape International Missions, a faith based organization working in Cambodia to rescue children from trafficking.
Student School Supplies

Student supplies have been purchased by the school and will be in the classroom prior to the first day of school.  Families will not be billed for student supplies this year.

Some teachers may request personal items (homework binders or folders).  This information will be communicated to you by your child's teacher.

Families will continue to provide backpacks and lunchboxes as needed.
Hot Lunch
Good Earth Organic Lunches will continue to be our vendor for hot lunches this school year.  Information on registration will be in your Back to School Packet.  Be sure to check out the slightly modified menu!
2016-17 Fall Auction Gala
Save the Date!

The annual auction has been moved to the Fall!  Save the date for  October 29 !  You will not want to miss the event of the year held again at the Marin Country Club.


Volunteers Needed!

Planning is underway and we have volunteer and committee spots to fill.  We have opportunities the remaining weeks of summer for anyone interested in getting a jump start on their volunteer hours.  Please email  Andrea Morales   if you are interested in volunteering.

Pastor John will be leading "Discovery" classes for all interested adults/families seeking more information about our Church before possibly joining our community of faith.  

What to expect from the Discovery class?  We will take time to get to know each other and share our backgrounds before we explore the basics of the Christian walk and how we understand ourselves in light of our Lutheran heritage.  This class is for all people who have questions regarding our Church or are interested in joining Good Shepherd Lutheran Church.  

The "one session" classes happen on Saturdays.  In October our classes will take place on two consecutive Wednesday nights, October 5th and 12th from 7 PM to 9 PM.  

All classes are held in the Senior Room (located in the first meeting room found near the kitchen while exiting the fellowship hall).  Childcare available upon request.  Refreshments are also provided.  If you would like to participate in these classes please call Falon Barmaki,  Church Coordinator at  415.897.2123.  Please let us know if you will need childcare.  Thank you!
