GSSCC Cuts the Ribbon for HSBC's Grand Opening

GSSCC joined HSBCBank officials and other VIPs last Thursday evening to cut the ribbon for the grand opening of the new branch at 8250 Georgia Avenue. To welcome the bank, GSSCC President Jane Redicker presented a plaque to Kevin Shaw, CFP, Senior Vice President and Mid-Atlantic Area Manager.
GSSCC to Participate in 4Business Charette

GSSCC will join other businessmen and women to participate in the 4Business Charette, hosted this evening by County Executive Marc Elrich and Councilmember Sidney Katz at the Wheaton Community Center.    The 4Business Charrette is an opportunity for business owners to provide input and ideas to improve Montgomery County's business climate. Business owners and representatives are urged to attend this event to make recommendations to the county executive and council president on how Montgomery County government can be more responsive to their needs.

Update: Purple Line Work in Silver Spring

Colesville Road - Colesville Road closures originally scheduled for December 2 this year have been postponed until January 5, 2020.  Beginning then, and through the end of April, the Colesville Road between Wayne Avenue and East-West Highway will be closed periodically between 10 p.m and 5 a.m. Monday through Friday and, as needed, overnight on weekends. During the daytime and evening hours of 5 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily, crews will work in the center lane, but keep two lanes open in each direction.  View the detour here.

Bonifant Street - Beginning on or about December 20, Purple Line crews will implement a long-term lane closure on westbound Bonifant Street between Ramsey Avenue and Georgia Avenue.  This section of the street will be closed for approximately three months.  

Wayne Avenu e - Crews will be working on Wayne Avenue between Fenton Street and Flower Avenue between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. weekdays and weekends during December. Watch for temporary lane closures.

Brookville Road/Stewart Avenue - Crews will be relocating utilities along Stewart Avenue between Brookville Road and Kansas Avenue from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays and weekends.  Watch for temporary lane and sidewalk closures.  Parking on southbound Stewart will be limited.
