Business Leaders Hear MoCo Economic Indicators Analysis,
CE Candidate's Reactions

More than 500 business leaders and others gathered last Friday to hear from respected Anirban Basu, Sage Policy Group, an analysis of the rate of economic progress in Montgomery County, over time in both absolute and relative terms. The study, commissioned by Empower Montgomery, pointed to an under-performing economy and leaders ignoring job creation.  Here is a copy of the report that has been posted on the Empower Montgomery's website. Following the presentation, the Democrat candidates for Montgomery County Executive had the opportunity to respond to the results and answer other questions about their vision for the future of the county.  Read media coverage of the event at these links: Bethesda Magazine, The Washington Post, Maryland Matters, and two articles in the Washington Business Journal - WBJ-1 and WBJ-2.  Following the forum, moderators urged all in the audience to vote in the June 26 Primary election.
