Celebrate the season with fellow members and guests at a special GSSCC Business-After-Hours from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, December 12, at the DoubleTree by Hilton (8727 Colesville Road). Eat, drink, mix, mingle, try your luck at some electronic games, and support a lucky Chamber non-profit member. GSSCC will be collecting cash contributions at the door. Before the end of the evening, one participating non-profit will be selected, in a random drawing, to receive the cash. Members who contribute at least $10 will be entered into a second drawing to win a case of wine, donated by Lee Development Group

For its Holiday Community Service Project, the Chamber's Young Professionals Network will bake and decorate holiday cookies with clients of Interfaith Works Empowerment Center and Shepherd's Table. Watch for Lane Closures on Georgia Avenue Beginning Today
Starting this morning, Pepco crews will be on Georgia Avenue starting work on an effort to upgrade utility infrastructure between the Sligo and Linden substations. Two northbound lanes of Georgia Avenue between Grace Church Road and Highland Avenue will be closed between 9 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. weekdays. Crews will also be working on Fraser Lane, close to the Linden substation in Montgomery Hills. All GSSCC members are welcome to participate in Chamber committees. Members are welcome to attend committee meetings to assess interest in joining a committee. Meetings are typically held in the GSSCC Conference Room. Advance RSVP is required and priority will be given to existing committee members when speakers are scheduled.
