Update: MoCo Mass COVID-19 Vaccination Site

A county-run vaccination site at Montgomery College's Germantown Campus is planned to open this Wednesday, March 31, and will transition to a state-supported mass vaccination site starting the week of April 5. The mass vaccination site is being formed under a partnership with the state, county, Holy Cross Health, and the college.

Eligible residents can pre-register for State mass vaccination clinics online or by calling 1-855-MDGOVAX (1-855-634-6829). In accordance with the states phased vaccination plan ensuring the most vulnerable residents are given priority, the site will be vaccinating eligible individuals in Phases 1A, 1B, 1C, and 2A.

On March 30, the state plans to open Phase 2B which allows eligibility for the vaccine to those 16 and older with certain medical conditions. By April 15, the Montgomery County site is expected to be able to administer 3,000 doses per day — about 21,000 doses each week.
