Friday Workshop Focuses on Procurement Opportunities in MoCo

Learn from procurement experts in the public and private sector at the third annual Procurement Forum, sponsored by the Montgomery County Department of Procurement from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Friday, October 5, at the Silver Spring Civic Building.  
The free forum will feature breakout sessions on a variety of topics, including writing effective proposals, nonprofit opportunities, an overview about business certificates, marketing, social media and new initiatives. In addition, participants can meet and network with representatives from more than one dozen agencies and organizations at the Exhibitor Showcase.  Find details and registration information  here .

* Montgomery College's Takoma Park/Silver Spring Campus will host the college's "MC 2025 Strategic Planning Forum" from 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. this Thursday, October 4, in the Health Sciences Center (Room 122). The college invites community members, non-profits, and businesses to discussed shared issues and opportunities. Find details here.

* 12POINTFIVE will host a webinar called You Had a Matchmaker, Now What? The webinar will provide some transparency from the corporate side into the WBE matchmaker meeting process. It will be held from noon to 1 p.m. on Wednesday, October 10. Register  here.

* TSC Advantage is hosting a free cybersecurity seminar called How Hackers Get You! Social Engineering Tactics & Ways to Combat Them.
