- On July 29
round of the 2019 VNMP ( Virtual Net Match Play ) competition was contested during the Wronski Cann Group Open at the supremely conditioned, firm and fast running Whitevale Golf Club. Sunny skies, hot temperatures and a stiff summer breeze all contributed to a great, July golf day in southern Ontario.
Eight competitors competed in 4 mixed Flight matches and, as we have seen many times before with the VNMP format, they were all good matches. This is a strong testament to the competitive concept, our net score calculations, the handicapping system provided to us by Golf Canada and, most importantly, our commitment as GTA AM Tour players to proper and accurate index maintenance.
The VNMP competition is in its fourth year and is designed to bring players of varying abilities (from the Champ, A, B, C and Senior Flights) together in a fun, fair and competitive match play format. We continue to look for ways to improve the player experience through the virtual portion of the competition, and most certainly the Championship Rounds that represent the Grand Finale. Players good and lucky enough to have qualified for the Championship Rounds in past years know firsthand that the prizing is much more than having your name included on to the Tour’s VNMP trophy, or the valuable TaylorMade gift cards. The big prize is qualifying for the Championship Round and the player experience it provides.
Congratulations to the 4 winning players who each earn their way into the Grande Finale, 2019 VNMP Championship day.
Full Details on this day are still being finalized and will be released soon.
