2012 GTA Am Logo

We hope this email finds you and yours well and making your way through these challenging times.
As well as disruption to our daily lives, the Coronavirus has generated a great degree of uncertainty. This is certainly the case for the GTA AM Tour and our plans for the 2020 season.

At this point, we are continuing to prepare for the 2020 season as planned but, those plans may change.

Please know that the health and safety of the players and Tour Team, along with their families and friends, is our top priority. With that in mind, we want to assure you that we will not proceed unless given the go-ahead by the Government and Host Clubs.
On the good news front, we do know that we can, in a VERY short period of time, get set up to execute a Tournament.
Given this uncertainty, we have decided to put into place the following steps:
1)     Players registered for a Tournament will, for the time-being, NOT be sent a four-week reminder email. Instead, The Tour will notify you when we either get the go-ahead for an event or have to cancel.
2)     Players will not be charged the balance of the event fee (which typically takes place 21 days prior) until we are certain the event will take place.
3)     If the event is cancelled, registered players will receive a refund of the non-refundable deposit.
4)     We will make a go/no go decision as close as four days prior to a Tournament. We will let those registered know, via email, and they will have two options:
    • Stay registered and no action will be required. If players remain registered (within 24 hours of the notification email), their credit card will be charged for the balance of the event fee.
    • Withdraw. If a player wishes to withdraw, they must do so within 24 hours of receiving the event confirmation email and MUST do so by both withdrawing from the Tournament and emailing Mark Young (mark@gtaamtour.com). They will then be refunded the non-refundable deposit.
    • After the 24-hour period, and if there is a Notify Me List, we will let those on the NML know they can now register for the event.
5)     Players can still register for future events and will be continue to charged a non-refundable deposit
The Tour will monitor the situation and is continuing to work on an Operational Plan that is being designed to ensure the safety of you the players, Tour Team and Host Club. This plan will be shared with The Tour Community prior to the first Tournament.
On behalf of The Tour Team, we would like to wish you and those close to you all our best. And.... we are ALL VERY HOPEFUL that we will soon be back to normal and outside playing some golf..!
In good health,
