As you have no doubt heard, the Government of Ontario has given the green light for golf courses to open. With some adjustments to what we have been used to, we are very pleased to announce the start of the 2020 GTA AM Tour season..! YEA..!!
I am consistently impressed by the AMAZING Community of The Tour. During the lockdown period, we have received SO MANY thoughtful and supportive emails and calls from Tour players, Team Members, Sponsors and Host Clubs. I am grateful to be a part of the GTA AM Tour Community and to each of you for being an integral part of the MAGIC that makes this Community SING... THANK YOU...!
THE 2020 GTA AM Tour kicks off
and we are VERY MUCH looking forward to hosting you in the not-too-distant future! TELL YOUR FRIENDS..!
We all know that many parts of our everyday lives are different than what we were used to. Similarly, some aspects of the 2020 Tour will vary from previous seasons. At the core of these differences is the design and execution of our events to present a safe environment for our players, Tour Team and Host Club staff.

Please note that the next time you log into your Tour account, you will be asked to read and agree to the player version of this document before you can gain access to your account.
As outlined in the Operational Plans above, The GTA AM Tour will be different in many ways. One of these differences will be that, at least temporarily, The Tour will not have Golf Canada Referees (formerly Rules Officials) at our events. We are hopeful our Referees will be able to rejoin us in the not-too-distant future. In the meantime, please be sure to download the R&A Rules of Golf App. This App is AMAZING and VERY easy to use.
2020 SCHEDULE CHANGES
Please be reminded that the GOLFTEC Open events, scheduled for Tuesday (May 19th) and Wednesday (May 20th)
at Devil's Paintbrush,
have been cancelled.
We are fortunate to have been able to book an alternative club for Monday June 1, 2020. As a result, the GOLFTEC Open will be held at TPC Toronto at Osprey Valley. The Championship, A and Recreational Flights will play the Hoot Course and the B, C and Open Net Stableford Flights will play the Heathlands Course.
The GOLFTEC Open at TPC Toronto at Osprey Valley will be one-day, eighteen-hole regular season (not a Major) event. We are working on finding a suitable date/venue for a third Major (likely a one-day/eighteen-hole event) later in the season.
If you would like to join us for the GOLFTEC Open, please log into your Tour account and register. This event will have a limited field size so spots will be filled on a first-in first registered basis. As usual, The Tour will send tee time emails three to five days prior to each event.
At this time, all events scheduled after June 2, 2020 will take place on the dates as outlined on the Events page of The Tour's website.
Please note that, effective Tuesday May 19, 2020, The Tour will "reactivate" both the four-week reminder email and event payment features.
I cannot tell you how incredibly happy I am to be writing this email. It means that we will have a Tour and that we will, once again, be able to compete and continue to embrace (figuratively and from a safe distance..!
) this AMAZING Community..!
