2014 Early Bird Tour Registration Fee Deadline

We wanted to thank those of you who have registered for the 2014 Tour! Please note that the Early Bird Tour registration fee of $99 (plus HST) is in place until this Sunday at 5pm. After that the 2014 Tour registration fee will be $125 (plus HST). If you have not already registered we hope you are able to rejoin us ON TOUR this year!

2014 Tour Schedule Complete!

We have just added the last two events to the 2014 Tour schedule. We are very excited to share with you the July 7th host Club will be Taboo Resort and the July 21st host Club will be Scarboro G&CC! If you plan to play either one of those events we strongly suggest that you Register NOW..!

The Tour will, for the 9th year in a row, have a booth at the Toronto Golf and Travel Show.

Myrtle Beach Net Order of Merit

Along with the Gross Order of Merit The Tour will launch this year a Net Order of Merit. There are per event and season long components to the Net Order of Merit. At each event, the top two Net Scores (Calculated by determining each players Net score (utilizing the tee they played from) and then ranking them based on the number of players who played in that event) will receive a case of Mill Street Beer along with one dozen TaylorMade golf balls.. Those placing in the top three in the gross score competition of their flight will not be eligible for the per event Net Score prizing but will continue to accumulate Net Order of Merit points for the season long competition. The season-long Net Order of Merit will take a players best 10 net point totals. The top two Myrtle Beach Net Order of Merit winners will receive a 7 day March 2015 trip to Myrtle Beach.  



We are pleased to announce the return of Myrtle Beach Golf Holiday and would like to welcome to the list of Tour Sponsors BMO World Elite MasterCard and Pacific Links International.


We are currently working on finalizing the first place per event prizing for the 2014 Tour season. We will update you as soon as we have this finalized. In the meantime, we can tell you that we have the following per event, per Flight prizing secured:

2nd place - TaylorMade wedge or putter

3rd place - one case of Mill Street beer and one dozen TaylorMade golf balls

There will once again be two closest to the pin contests at each event. One for Champ and A Flights and one for B and C Flights.

There will be a draw prize at each event for one $50 Mill Street Brew Pub certificate.


Battlefield Promotion

Based on feedback from players and much consideration, we have amended the Battlefield Promotion to further improve equity across Flights as follows:

Previous: Players were moved after winning three events in a given Flight.

Current: Players will be moved after winning two events with a differential that is below the range of their Flight.


Code of Conduct

To further solidify the values of playing on Tour and to continue to ensure that we all have an opportunity to enjoy ourselves ON TOUR, we are preparing a Players' Code of Conduct. Once we have this completed, you will see the document when you next sign in to The Tour's website.


Handicap Verification

When registering at each event, you will be asked to sign a sheet that verifies your Handicap Factor as of that day. We strongly suggest that you download the Golf Canada App to make it easier for you to input your scores (hole-by-hole and ideally attested) immediately after each round of golf. Please remember that The Tour uploads your Tour scores directly into your RCGA Handicap Factor profile.


Tour Commercial Airings

The Tour's 30 second commercial, created by the wonderfully talented Team at Capture Scratch, will air twice during the Sunday rounds of the following events: Honda Classic (March 2nd) and Arnold Palmer Invitational (March 23rd). The commercial spot already aired twice - during the Sunday round at the Farmer's Insurance Classic (January 26th) and the WGC Accenture Match Play (February 23rd).


Referral Program

If you know of anyone interested in signing up for The Tour, please have them visit the "Join Now" section of the website. This year we will be providing Tour players who refer a new player (who plays at least two 2014 events) with a $50 thank you for referring a friend. We will also be conducting draws for rounds of golf at Coppinwood for those of you who refer your friends and family members to The Tour. Please ensure your friends record you (on the Join Now page) as the person who referred them.
