First off, thank you for an AMAZING 2019 Tour! We also want to thank those of you who took the time to complete the Tour Player and Equipment surveys. The results of these surveys help us to improve the Tour and to communicate with current and future Tour Sponsors.

As the subject line of this email indicates, we hope you are able to join us ON TOUR for the 2020 season - The GTA AM Tour's 17th year!

REGISTER NOW!
If you would like to register for the 2020 Tour, please visit The Tour's website, log in and, from your Player Dashboard, hit the Register for the 2020 season button (If you have forgotten your password please use the "Forgot Password" feature on the home page).

To help improve access to events, when registering for events, players will be charged a per-event non-refundable deposit of $20 (Plus HST). Event reminder emails will continue to be sent (to registered players) four weeks prior to each event. Credit cards will be billed (for the balance of the event fee) three weeks prior to each event. Out of respect for your fellow players, please only register for events in which you plan to play.

Please note, The Tour has retained the services of a different credit card processing company (Moneris). As a heads up, you will be asked to input your credit card information. Thank you in advance for taking care of this for us.

WAITING LIST ===> NOTIFY ME
When an event reaches capacity, players will be given an option to be notified if a spot opens up. When a spot opens up, at any given time, ALL players on the Notify Me list will be sent an email. Available spot(s) will be filled on a first to register basis.

COMMITMENT TO EDUCATING THE COMMUNITY
After registering for the 2020 Tour, and before registering for their first event, players will be directed to an online evaluation that will educate them about Pace of Play, Course Care and Handicapping. Answers to ALL of the questions can be found on The Tour's website.

2020 GTA AM TOUR SCHEDULE
As you can see, we have been busy booking clubs! We are very fortunate to have 90% of the 2020 Tour schedule hosted by the following Private Clubs: Coppinwood, Scarboro, Devil's Paintbrush, Summit, Kawartha, Wildfire, Wyndance, Brantford, Brampton, Carrying Place, Ladies Golf Club of Toronto, Devil's Pulpit, Whitevale, Dundas Valley, Meadowbrook, Cedar Brae, Beverly, DiamondBack, Barrie, Bigwin Island, Oshawa, Mad River and Maple Downs.

To this VERY strong roster of private golf courses, we will be hosting the first Major of the year at TPC Toronto at Osprey Valley and will also be adding a brand new golf course ( The Nest at Friday Harbour) to the roster. The 2020 Tour Championship will be held at Grand Niagara

Please note, we will be adding an event to the week of August 17th. 

2020 TOUR CHAMPIONSHIP
The 2020 Tour Championship will be held at Grand Niagara Golf Club on Sunday October 4th and Monday October 5th. This two-day (18 holes per day) event is open to all who wish to compete. In order to be eligible for Order of Merit Points and prizing in this event, players must have played at least five 2020 GTA AM Tour rounds. The event fee includes daily use of a golf cart and an AMAZING banquet dinner on the Sunday evening. For those of you who have not yet had an opportunity to play this course, we strongly suggest you add this to your MUST play list!

2020 MAJOR EVENTS
The Tour will hold three Majors during the summer of 2020! The first Major of the year will take place on Monday May 25th at TPC at Osprey Valley Toronto and will see players play 36-holes in one day! The second Major of the year will take place at a new Club to The Tour roster: Carrying Place G&CC. This Tournament will see players tee off the first tee, in threesomes, on both Sunday and Monday. The third Major of the year will take place, on Sunday/Monday August 30th and 31st, at perennial Tour favourite - Barrie Country Club. The Sunday round will be shotgun format (and will include a cart and banquet dinner) while Monday's round will see players tee of the first tee in threesomes. 

OPEN NET STABLEFORD FLIGHT
As per direction from players who attended the 2019 Tour Player Summit, The Seniors' Flight will now become the Open Net Stableford Flight. Players playing in this Flight will tee off after the A Flight and before the B Flight. Players will compete in a Net Stableford format.  

We are working on the coding of this new website feature and will let you know when you will be able to register for the Open Net Stableford Flight. 

SPONSOR GIFT BAG
The first 450 players to register for the 2020 GTA AM Tour will, once again, receive a Sponsors' gift package. We are working with current and new Sponsors to add new and cool items to this package.

VIRTUAL NET MATCH PLAY
The Tour will once again host the Virtual Net Match Play competition. There will be a maximum of 64 spots available. The VNMP competitions will take place at the following Tour venues:
1) Devil's Paintbrush
2) Wyndance
3) Devil's Pulpit
4) Cedar Brae
5) Championship Day - TBA

PRIZING
As you know, Air Canada, TaylorMade, Mill Street Brewery and Papa's Pizza Land provided The Tour with per event prizing in 2019. We are currently working to renew existing prizing Sponsors and to procure new ones as well. Many Tour players, Sponsors and team members have kindly connected us with potential sponsors. If you know anyone who may be interested, in working with this wonderful community of passionate, dedicated and engaged golfers, please let me know.

For those of you who won a TaylorMade Gift Card in 2019, please note that the expiry date, to use your card and place your order, is today - December 31, 2019.

TOUR PATRON SPONSORSHIP OPPORTUNITY
Last year was the seventh year for the Patron Sponsorship Opportunity. A number of players took advantage of the opportunity to play 21 Tour rounds of golf as a legitimate business expense, through this program.

In addition to 21 rounds of Tour golf, and a waiving of the Tour registration fee, Patron Sponsors will receive the following:
1) Their corporate logo on The Tour's website, along with a link to their company's website
2) "Patrons of The Tour" day of golf at Coppinwood Golf Club.

The price of the Patron Sponsorship is $4,500 (plus HST). There will be a maximum of 15 Patron Sponsor spots, available on a first booked basis. If you are interested in becoming a Patron Sponsor, please call me at the number below.

REFERRAL PROGRAM
If you know of anyone interested in signing up for the Tour, please have them visit the " Join The Tour" section of the website. We will be providing Tour players, who refer a new player with a dozen TaylorMade golf balls (after the referred player plays at least two 2020 events). Please ensure your friends record you (on the Join Now page) as the person who referred them.
