SAE publishes charging recommendation for medium- and heavy-duty electric vehicles
The Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) developed a recommended practice for plug-in charging of heavy-duty electric vehicles. The new standard was designed to offer a single vehicle charging coupler solution for three-phase and single-phase AC and DC charging. Full story
ROUSH CleanTech enters electric vehicle market with the Ford F-650
ROUSH CleanTech unveiled its newest carbon footprint-friendly vehicle - an all-electric Ford F-650. The new fully electric vehicles will have a lithium ion battery system of up to 225 kilowatt hours and 700 volts. Full story
Minnesota's new biodiesel mandate begins in May
Minnesota implemented a biodiesel standard May 1, 2018, requiring No. 2 diesel fuel sold for use in combustion engines to contain a minimum of 20 percent biodiesel. Full story
Motiv introducing cost-cutting battery controller for its EV chassis
Electric truck developer Motiv Power Systems developed a new unified battery controller that can cut costs, increase cargo capacity and speed up the build process for trucks based on its medium-duty EPIC chassis. Full story
Biodiesel ranks first among fleets for alternative fuel use
North America's top fleets have spoken, and their number one choice for greening their fleet operations is the use of biodiesel blends in their diesel vehicles, according to the 2018 Fleet Purchasing Outlook study conducted by NTEA. Full story

2018 Fleet Purchasing Outlook available
Taking significant trends and trusted forecasts into account, another year of growth is anticipated for the commercial vehicle industry in 2018.
NTEA released the 2018 Fleet Purchasing Outlook, exploring the commercial vehicle landscape and measuring common acquisition incentives. This study is designed to give the work truck industry insight into the projected direction of the fleet community.
