Cenergy Solutions announced the DOE granted 5.4 million to six U.S. universities to enhance the storage of methane with adsorbents. Cenergy Solutions has made a lot of advancements over the last six years using adsorbents to store and transport natural and biogas. Full story

First Freightliner eCascadia battery electric trucks headed to customers
Daimler Trucks North America LLC announced it built the first two Class 8 battery electric Freightliner eCascadias for customers at its research and development center in Portland, Oregon. Full story

Colorado adopts zero-emission vehicle standard
In an 8-1 decision, Colorado’s Air Quality Control Commission has voted to adopt a zero-emission vehicle (ZEV) standard. The new standard requires automakers to sell more than 5% ZEVs by 2023 and more than 6% ZEVs by 2025. Full story

Denso launches Smart Mobility in Ohio
Denso announced it is investing $1.42 million to launch a Smart Mobility Ecosystem to enhance transportation in Dublin, Ohio. The project will test and implement infrastructure technologies across several city municipalities. Full story

UPS invests in autonomous truck developer TuSimple
Shipping giant UPS is making a bet on robotic trucking. UPS Ventures, the company’s venture capital arm, said it made a minority investment in autonomous driving company  TuSimple . Full story

Over 100 Blue Bird electric school buses plugging into districts
Across North America, some students going back to school this fall will ride electric school buses. More than 100 electric school buses, powered by a Cummins fully electric drivetrain, have been ordered to date from Blue Bird Corporation. Full story
