New for 2019, the combined Green Truck Summit and Fleet Technical Congress covers both topics and more. Ford and Volkswagen announce alliance to build pickups and vans
Ford and Volkswagen announced plans to team up to build midsize pickups and commercial vans as they consider expanding the partnership to include the development of autonomous and electric vehicles. Full story

XL electrifies West Coast public fleets
XL announced Tacoma and Clark Public Utilities in Washington, as well as the City of Palo Alto, California, are the latest West Coast municipalities and utilities to electrify portions of their fleets with XL-equipped vehicles. Full story

Volkswagen to invest $800 million, build new electric vehicle in U.S.
Volkswagen AG said it was investing $800 million to build a new electric vehicle at its plant in Chattanooga, Tennessee, and scheduled a briefing with Ford Motor Company on their efforts to forge a global alliance. Full story
