ViriCiti, BAE Systems develop automatic tool for electric hybrid buses
ViriCiti, in collaboration with BAE Systems, has developed a new functionality that enables fleet operators with Series-ER (Electric Range) electric hybrid systems on transit buses to automatically switch the engine on or off in predefined geofenced areas. Full story

Lightning Systems receives bp reaccreditation
Lightning Systems received reaccreditation under bp’s Advancing Low Carbon (ALC) program. The ALC program was created by bp to encourage bp and its partners to identify lower carbon opportunities. Full story

General Motors begins site prep on its $2.3 billion joint venture EV battery plant in Ohio
General Motors has started site preparations for its electric vehicle battery factory in Lordstown, Ohio. Last December, the Detroit automaker announced a joint venture with South Korean battery maker LG Chem. Full story
