Volvo Trucks bringing heavy-duty electric trucks to market
Volvo Trucks says it is kicking off commercial sales of its Volvo FL and Volvo FE electric trucks in selected European markets. “Global urbanization requires urban logistics and truck transport with zero emissions and less noise with increasing urgency,” said Jonas Odermalm, vice president for Volvo Trucks’ electromobility product line. EPA certifies Landi Renzo's CNG F-150
Landi Renzo USA secured EPA certification for the 2020-MY F-150 using the Eco Ready CNG system due to increased fleet demand for CNG products. The company introduced the CNG system, which is fully supported by Ford and engineered in accordance with Ford's requirements under the QVM program.  Full story

Bergstrom Inc. and GRIP Idle Management Inc. announce partnership to provide innovative solutions for police fleets. For those in the public service sector, idling is a common occurrence. Police officers sit in idling cars. Utility workers sit in idling vehicles, and many work trucks are left idling. Full story

Mercedes-Benz electric truck testing returns promising results
In Europe, Mercedes-Benz has been testing its all-electric eActros commercial trucks in real-world usage for a year. So far, it has received positive feedback for using electric vehicles in short range distribution applications, the company reported. Full story

GM sells its Lordstown plant to an electric pickup truck startup
A massive Lordstown, Ohio, auto assembly plant is getting a new lease on life. Startup automaker Lordstown Motors announced it purchased the plant and all the robots and other equipment inside from General Motors for an undisclosed price. Full story

Toyota unveils hydrogen utility truck for Port of Los Angeles
Toyota Motor Corp. is expanding its U.S. hydrogen fuel cell heavy-duty truck program, unveiling a utility tractor rig designed to pull cargo containers at ports. Full story
