SEA Electric opens California-based office
Australian automotive technology company SEA Electric continues to power ahead in the United States with its new California-based office and Senior Sales team expansion. The new 12,000 square foot facility in Torrance is located in Los Angeles County and will act as the commercial electric vehicle (EV) hub for the California area. Full story

Enhancing high-nickel layered oxide cathodes for lithium-ion batteries
Lithium-based batteries are used to power most existing electric vehicles, yet the amount of time they can keep a vehicle going before they need to be recharged is still somewhat limited. In the future, high-nickel layered oxide cathode materials could help to increase the driving range of electric vehicles, enabling the development of cheaper and better performing lithium-ion batteries. UPS and Waymo launch autonomous van package delivery test program
Self-driving vehicle developer Waymo and shipping giant UPS launched a pilot program to use autonomous Chrysler Pacifica minivans to shuttle packages around the Phoenix metro area. The vehicles will pick up packages at UPS stores and take them a local UPS sorting facility for processing. Full story

Chanje partners with MaxGen on charging infrastructure
Chanje has partnered with MaxGen Energy Services, a California-based engineering, construction, and technical services firm, working in the U.S. to build electric vehicle charging infrastructure. Full story
