ROUSH CleanTech debuts first propane autogas engine 90 percent cleaner
ROUSH CleanTech developed the first available propane autogas engine certified to California Air Resources Board’s optional low oxides of nitrogen emissions standard for heavy-duty engines, with 0.02 grams per brake horsepower-hour (g/bhp-hr). The engine is 90 percent cleaner than the current Environmental Protection Agency’s most stringent 0.2 g/bhp-hr heavy-duty engine standard. Full story

Rebates available on alternative fuel vehicles
Pennsylvania residents who drive an alternative fuel vehicle could be eligible for a rebate of up to $2,000 from the state Department of Environmental Protection. This includes vehicles running on natural gas or propane. Plug-in hybrid, plug-in electric and hydrogen fuel cell vehicles also are eligible. Full story

New Nevada plants to produce 11,000 barrels of renewable diesel per day
Ryze Renewables partnered with Phillips 66 to build two renewable diesel fuel plants in Nevada that will be capable of producing 11,000 barrels per day. Once operational, the two plants will manufacture high-cetane renewable diesel fuel from agricultural oils and animal fats. Full story

Lightning Systems lands launch order for electric truck powertrain
Lightning Systems said it received an order for 50 of its new Class 6 battery-electric model from New York-based commercial EV provider Zeem Solutions. The new Lightning powertrain, which provides 295 horsepower and up to 110 miles of range per charge, will be fitted into the Chevrolet 6500XD Low Cab Forward chassis for Zeem. Full story
