Second generation Lightning Systems Ford Transit 350HD gains 20% electric range
Lightning Systems announced the introduction of the second-generation of its all-electric conversion package for Ford Transit 350HD model (the full-electric system is available for the Ford Transit Passenger van, Cargo van, Cutaway and Chassis Cab versions). Full story

MTA seeks renewable natural gas for New York City Buses
The Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) has issued a request for proposals to purchase renewable natural gas (RNG) to fuel some 800 New York City buses currently running on compressed natural gas. Full story

UPS to make largest purchase of RNG in U.S. history
UPS has agreed to buy 170 million gallon equivalents of RNG from Clean Energy Fuels through 2026, in what the logistics company called "the largest commitment for use of RNG to date by any company in the United States." Full story

Cummins invests in electrified business with larger presence in Indiana 
Cummins announced plans to expand its presence in Indiana with new building projects and investment at its global headquarters in Columbus as well as in Greenwood and Indianapolis.  Full story

Biodiesel, mudflaps help improve emissions
Although large gains have been made in cleaning up new diesel engines, nearly two-thirds of all commercial trucks don’t meet the latest emissions standards. As of 2017, some 36% of all commercial trucks (Classes 3-8) in the United States rely on the newest generation of diesel engines — a 6% increase over 2016. Full story

AEV and Club Car partner on electric utility vehicle
AEV Technologies, which specializes in light-duty battery-electric vehicles, and Club Car, which specializes in golf, consumer, and utility vehicles, are partnering to offer an all-new battery-electric utility vehicle for commercial markets. The Club Car 411 is designed for a wide range of applications, including campus environments, warehouse and logistics, municipal use, utilities, and universities. Full story

Bio-based diesel fuels deliver the biggest reductions in transportation-related GHG emissions in California – ever
According to new data gathered from the Low Carbon Fuel Standard program run by the California Air Resources Board, biodiesel and renewable diesel fuel deliver the state’s biggest reduction in transportation-related sources of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. Full story
