States join forces to accelerate truck, bus electrification
Fifteen states and the District of Columbia signed an agreement pledging to develop a plan to eliminate diesel emissions by 2050. The states agreed to work collaboratively to advance and accelerate the market for electric medium- and heavy-duty vehicles, including large pickup trucks and vans, delivery trucks, box trucks, school and transit buses, and long-haul heavy-duty trucks. DOE allots funding to support H2@Scale projects
The U.S. Department of Energy allotted approximately $64 million in the fiscal year funding for 18 projects that will support the H2@Scale vision for affordable hydrogen production, storage, distribution and use. One area of focus includes identifying durable and cost-effective fuel cell systems and components for medium- and heavy-duty trucks. Full story

Titled 'Fast Fill' and hosted by Daniel J. Gage, president of NGVAmerica, the bi-weekly podcast will feature leaders in the natural gas industry to help educate those in and outside the industry on the latest developments for NGVs. Full story

Allison Transmission receives certification from CARB
California Air Resources Board certified Allison Transmission and Cummins Inc. for model year 2020 Allison Hybrid 40/50 Electric Propulsion system paired with the Cummins B6.7 and L9 diesel-electric hybrid engines used in transit buses and coaches. Full story
