Registration and housing open for The Work Truck Show ® 2019
Online registration and housing for The Work Truck Show 2019 are open. The event is scheduled Tuesday, March 5 through Friday, March 8, 2019 at Indiana Convention Center (Indianapolis, Indiana). Educational sessions, Fleet Technical Congress, Green Truck Summit, and Manufacturer and Distributor Innovation Conference begin March 5, and the exhibit hall is open March 6–8. Lightning Systems debuts all-electric Ford E-450 cutaway
Lightning Systems announced new battery-electric powertrain options for the Ford E-450 shuttle bus and Ford E-450 cutaway. The new Lightning Electric models for the Ford E-450 will be available in 14,500-pound gross vehicle weight rating with an all-electric range of 110 miles. Full story

Ford building its F-150 Hybrid at Rouge
Ford will produce a gasoline-electric Hybrid F-150 pickup at its Ford River Rouge Complex in Dearborn, Michigan, within two years. The plant's 7,500 employees work three shifts to build the trucks. Ford is now prepping the facility to build the hybrid F-150s. In 2020, the plant will begin building the F-150 Hybrid. Full story

Cummins introduces diesel, hybrid-electric innovations
Cummins Inc. introduced innovations for the diesel engine intended to achieve a low nitrogen oxide-emissions future, a reduction in the carbon footprint and improve fuel mileage. It also presented a hybrid-electric powertrain. Full story

California plans $415 million to fund clean trucks, freight handling
California air quality regulators have approved $150 million in grants for projects that will put at least 187 zero-emission medium- and heavy-duty trucks into service over the next several years. Matching funds from participants in the 11 approved projects will boost the total investment to $415 million. Full story
