November is Here, and We're Feeling Grateful!

As the holiday season begins, there’s no better time to express our gratitude for the incredible GTS community. We’re so thankful for each of you—for your unwavering support, encouragement, and commitment to helping our athletes and coaches reach new heights. Together, you make this program something truly special.

Our coaches are always working to keep your athletes inspired, engaged, and excited to come to practice each day. From fun activities to skill-building sessions, we’re dedicated to fostering a space where they can thrive, grow, and make lasting memories with their teammates. November is the perfect time for team bonding and development, and we’re thrilled to see these friendships and connections grow stronger each day.

We’re also thrilled to announce that 27 of our talented athletes will be representing GTS in our upcoming team travel meet! This is an incredible opportunity, and we couldn’t be prouder of the hard work and dedication that each athlete has shown leading up to this event. Let’s bring that GTS spirit, swim fast, and show everyone what it means to be part of the Greenwood Tiger Sharks family!

Thank you for being an essential part of this journey.

Let’s make it a November to remember—Go GTS! 🦈💙

RECAP: Great Pumpkin Pentathlon & Distance Meet

With 152 individual races and 37 athletes participating, this was a phenomenal weekend of racing! Numerous personal bests were achieved, and GTS kept the pool heated with fast swims. Marcus Garland earned the high point award, taking home a Spooky Halloween Trophy, and our Sharks and Fish, along with the rest of the team, made a huge impact on the team score with their fast swims. Out of 12 teams, GTS ranked third with a total of 249 points.

Let’s keep the momentum going!

Timing assignments will be sent out prior to each meet if GTS is assigned timing responsibilities.

Interested in more volunteer opportunities? Let the coaches know! We’re always looking for additional officials to support our team.

Capture Your Special Moments with Bryndi!

Looking for a talented photographer for family photos or senior portraits? Bryndi, a beloved Club Greenwood Swim Instructor, has a knack for capturing personalities beautifully. Many GTS families have worked with her, and her stunning portfolio speaks for itself. Let Bryndi help you create lasting memories this holiday season!

Swimmers are subject to testing by FINA (the international federation for aquatic sports), the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA), the United States Anti-Doping Agency (USADA), and the International Olympic Committee (IOC). FINA frequently partners with the International Testing Agency (ITA) to carry out these tests.

This is particularly important as our athletes compete on larger stages nationwide, and it underscores our commitment to fair play and athlete integrity. Thank you for your understanding and support!

For more information, check out USADA.org.

As our team continues to grow, we want to reinforce our one key rule: there is zero tolerance for negative behavior at GTS. This includes skipping swim practice and not cleaning up after oneself in the locker room.

As members of GTS, all athletes and families are expected to uphold the following principles:

RESPECT Yourself

RESPECT Coaches

RESPECT Teammates

RESPECT Equipment

By embracing these values, we can strengthen our team and create an unbreakable bond. Thank you for your cooperation!
