After five years of seclusion, the "Face of Evil" has reemerged in a video. Abu Bakr al-Baghadi, the illusive leader of ISIS said his message was simple. ISIS's self-declared caliphate in Iraq and Syria has fallen, but the global reach of ISIS lives on. al_Baghdadi claimed ISIS ownership for the church bombings in Sri Lanka which killed over 300 people and encouraged more attacks on "crusaders." Analysts believe after the ISIS defeat on the battlefield, al-Baghdadi's video message was engineered to highlight the success of the Sri Lanka attack to his followers. He wanted to assure his jihadi soldiers that ISIS is still relevant and still in the fight.

How to React Quickly and Safely to Suspicious Packages and Bomb Threats
Bomb threats are a rare but serious event. How quickly and safely you react can save lives, including your own:
- Report suspicious activity, unattended packages, or a potential bomb threat to authorities immediately, follow instructions, and evacuate the area
- Provide as much detail as possible to authorities
- Seek distance and cover – they are the best means to reduce the risk of injury
- DO NOT approach or inspect suspicious items or unattended packages
- DO NOT congregate near the incident scene – it may impede first responders and there could be a risk of secondary attack

You get an automated phone call with an ominous-sounding warning from a well-known tech company. It may be that your computer has been hacked and your personal or financial information is vulnerable, or that your computer has a virus. Simply return the call, or press 1 to be connected with tech support for help solving the issue. Once you are on the phone with "tech support," they will ask for remote access to your computer, and will proceed to show you all the problems on your system. But worry not! They can fix it all for a fee, and a monthly subscription for ongoing support.
BUT AT THE SAME TIME THEY HAVE OPENED A CONTINUOUS CONNECTION TO YOUR COMPUTER AND ALL OF ITS DATA.
WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW
- Tech companies (Microsoft, Apple and the like) are not going to call you out of the blue to tell you there is a problem with your computer.
- All the problems they show you on your system are hype — real files that look menacing but are just ordinary files.
- The "fix" is no fix at all, and the monthly subscription gets you absolutely nothing but a recurring charge and a compromised computer.
WHAT YOU SHOULD DO
- Hang up if you get an unsolicited call for tech support.
- Make sure to stay current on software updates and run anti-virus scans regularly.
- Never allow someone who calls you out of the blue to access your computer, or give them your usernames or passwords.
- Contact your credit card company and request a reversal of the payment if you've been victimized.

While the majority of people who participate in individual transactions are credible, there are a small percentage of people who use websites or social media to prey on the innocent. Transactions often require parties to meet face to face. Because of the inherent dangerous nature of these meetings, the Police Department is offering the lobbies of its four stations and headquarters as "Safe Transaction Zones." The station lobbies are available 24/7/365, while the Headquarters lobby operates utilizing normal business hours. There are certain prohibitions in place. There can be no sales of firearms, dangerous items, stolen items or contraband. All transactions are recorded via CCTV.
