Yáá ah tééh Bienvenidos Welcome
In our area of the world, we blend and celebrate Native American, Hispanic, and Anglo heritages as we embrace a storied history and a promising future. We welcome New Comers.
"Old Timers" share a history of mining and ranching.
Working cowboys and cowgirls ride the range and rodeo.
Outfitters guide hunting expeditions.
World-class and novice astronomers share telescopes to gaze at our dark skies.
Artists create indigenous folk art, contemporary art, happenings, sculpture, and stained glass. Can you find the outdoor public art?
Musicians entertain with original and traditional blues, folk rock, country music, rock n roll, and jazz.
A Performing Artist delights with small cast plays and poetry readings.
Have you found the Poetry Box?
Photographers take advantage of our transformative light enhancing everything it touches: the magical high-desert scenery, the captivating faces…
Volunteers care for animals, improve reading skills, renovate buildings, and feed those in need.
Talented high-school athletes receive standing ovations and win state championships.
Authors publish children’s books, prose and poetry inspired by our culture and history, falconry, art and music, convent life, and spur making.
Artisans create tie-dye clothes, jewelry from local stones, metal art, and signs.
Residents form a hiking club and invite us to an “Ice Cream Social" to brainstorm village priorities.
We all celebrate community with fry bread, potlucks, baked goods, chuckwagons, dance and song.
