  • National Convention (July 2025) – Mark your calendars for July 10th – July 12! This will be an event you don’t want to miss.
  • A Special Call Meeting Thursday, April 24, to vote on the 2025 GUNAA Budget. The zoom credenitals were sent to the email on file with the national office.

The Crawfish Boil and Fish Fry Scholarship fundraiser was a huge success. They also welcomed the GSU Student Leadership Initiatives students to the event. We were in the company of royalty with our 1954 graduate (Mr. Johnny Taylor, 95 years old), our 1969 graduate (Ms. Willie Mae Wilson) along with our National President (Dr. Tammy Richardson).

We congratulate GUNAA life and Martha Adams chapter member, Laura Knighten --- 1952 GSU graduate. She is 95 years young!!!...and a living legend in the Hammond, LA community. A street has been named in her honor.

Do you desire to see a bylaw change? Click here to submit your proposal for consideration using the Blank Template .


Article X Section I: Constitution and Bylaws may be amended or revised at any annual or special meetings of the Association with two-thirds vote of the voting power present and voting whether in person or by proxy, provided that the proposed amendment shall have been submitted in writing to the Secretary and the Constitution and Bylaws Committee at least sixty (60) days before the Association meets. The Association shall email a copy of the proposed amendment to each financial chapter of the Association no later than thirty (30) days before the annual or special meeting. The Constitution and Bylaws Committee shall review the proposed amendment and report its recommendations to the body at the annual or special meeting.


Bylaw amendments will be voted on at the upcoming national convention. Any submittals should be sent to the following emails: gunaaconstitutionandbylaws@gmail.com and gunaasecretary1901@gmail.com
