SUMMER CLINICS (6/10/21 AND 6/13/21)
The cheer clinics are for all athletes (Grades K-6) to get ready for the the GVCO cheer program. It’s also a great way to get outside this summer to join other cheerleaders and have fun!
This week we got started with the sessions and enjoyed the workouts with our junior coaches (Coach Lexi, Coach Izzy and Coach Kelsey).

Summer and Fall Programs
Conditioning:
Spring conditioning clinics are for athletes who are interested in training and enhancing their strength in anticipation of the fall sports season. These clinics are not inclusive of only cheerleaders, but for all boys and girls who want to get back outside and work out with other athletes. There will be a focus on exercises and drills for strengthening muscles used for cheer, but also benefits all athletes. The clinics will be twice a week in June and July 2021 at a location in the Great Valley School District.
Cheer for Grades K-1
Flag football cheerleading will be for athletes in K and 1st grade to get introduced to the GVCO cheerleading program GVCO. Athletes will learn cheers, dance and jumps and cheer during the flag football games and perform at half time. They will also do other voluntary community events to perform to the community, and specifics will be communicated as they are scheduled.
Each week, there will be a one hour practice at a location within the Great Valley School District. These practices are closed to parents, but the coaches will upload videos to the Facebooks and Instagram pages. The season starts in early August and goes until the last flag football game of the season. Games are typically held on Sunday mornings.
Practices begin in early August.

Even with a rainy end to the first day of games, the GVBL summer league is back! It was great to see so many players and spectators come out to games at KD Markley and Great Valley High School.
We want to thank all of the volunteer coaches, student referees, and adult referees for making the week run smoothly. If you follow GVBL social media, you may have seen some of the great pictures that we took of several games. We will be featuring teams every day and posting those pictures online. Check them out on Instagram at @gvcobasketball or on Facebook at @GVCOBasketball.
GVBL App:
Please download the GVBL app to stay up to date on the latest with schedules, rosters, and rain delays!
Rain Rescheduling:
In the event of a rainout, games will be rescheduled into rainout slots later in July.
Short Benches and Vacations:
In the event that a team cannot fill all five positions, the game will be forfeited, but we will still try to play 4 vs 4 or move players around to get a game going. The summer league is about getting out to play!
Website and App:
All of this information and more can be found on the GVBL Summer League section of the GVCO website and on the GVBL App.

GVCO CHOOSES LOCAL COMMUNITY BANK & LONG TIME PARTNER FOR NEW GVCO COMMUNITY CENTER PROJECT
GVCO recently announced it has chosen Meridian Bank to handle its financing needs with our new GVCO Community Center project. An appraisal of the property has been ordered and our GVCO Board, along with MacElree Harvey, Ltd are finalizing the terms of the loan. IMC Construction, GVCO’s general contractor, is finalizing the construction budget and timeline for Meridian.
Our GVCO Board felt it was important to choose a local banking partner who also has a vested interest in our Great Valley community. Meridian was a logical choice beyond the outlined initial terms. Chris Annas, the bank's founder has long-lasting ties to our community and GVCO…having lived here and his kids participating in GVCO programming. Meridian was also the bank chosen back in 2005 when GVBL needed a Letter of Credit in order to open the old GVBL Center on Bacton Hill Rd.
GVCO looks forward to continuing to work with our long time banking partner Meridian Bank, to bring this wonderful community asset, the new GVCO Community Center to fruition for entire community to enjoy.
