SWIM TEST THIS FRIDAY, MARCH 5 at 8pm
All rowers who have not previously completed the swim test with GV Crew will need to do a swim test. Our first testing opportunity is scheduled for this Friday at 8pm. Please make every effort to make this date. We will likely schedule a second test based on any late registrations after Open House this weekend, but it's better to get it done as soon as possible.

The swim test will take place at the Upper Main Line YMCA in Berwyn.

Please meet outside the
main entrance at 7:45pm.

What is the swim test? Rowers will need to swim 2 lengths of the pool (50 meters) and tread water for 5 minutes wearing sweats.
Pro-tip: wear a regular sweatshirt, not a hoodie.

This season, we will test in smaller groups to allow for more distancing.
TEAM PHOTO SCHEDULED FOR MON. MARCH 8
We will be taking a team photo on Monday, March 8 so please try to make that practice! Wear GV gear, royal blue, or grey if you can so we can look more uniform.

Volunteers
As you may know, we need "all hands on deck" to keep GV Crew "afloat".

All puns aside, please consider where you may be able to help. Below is a list of volunteers. Though the bigger roles are filled (Yay!), we will still need all families to contribute from time to time.

GVCO Carings Hands Works With the Local Business Community To Provide Support

This past month our student led GVCO Caring Hands group teamed up with a local business to provide support to our local senior community. Stong Plumbing and Heating in Malvern stepped up and donated $500 to our 501(c)3 non-profit GVCO organization, a contribution dedicated to directly support seniors in our district. GVCO Caring Hands promptly matched that gift and continues to provide it's financial commitment to supporting those in need right here in our community.

Thank you Stong Plumbing and Heating for partnering with our GVCO Caring Hands. Once again an example of how our district's generous business community, along with our Great Valley Community Organization, partnered for the greater good here at home.

GVCO Project Update
The Spring Thaw Has Finally Begun!

As we move into March, the snow begins to melt, things begin to to turn green and (with luck) the ground begins to dry out. The hope is that GVCO will be "putting a shovel in the ground" in the coming weeks getting the new GVCO Commuity Center project started.

Also beginning in March, there will be a concerted effort with our capital campaign; renewing our efforts to get us over the hump with the necessary fundraising allowing us the ability to obtain the financing critical to complete the project.

Go to https://www.gvco.org/Default.aspx?tabid=1329444 to learn the entire picture where we are and what it is going to take to make this facility happen.

We need your help to finish what we've started! We will not get the necessary financing to complete the project without raising additional funds.

The time is NOW.... Together we can make it happen!
