Dear GVA-DC Families,
🏫 Welcome Back from Thanksgiving Break!
We hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving break filled with rest, family time, and moments of gratitude. It’s hard to believe we have just 17.5 days left in Quarter 2. Let’s finish strong by ensuring students are at school on time, every day!

🚧 Important Construction & Traffic Updates: Beginning Monday, December 1
Construction is officially underway! We’re thrilled to see progress on our new building project, but it will bring some temporary changes to parking, drop-off, and pick-up routines.
Please review the information below carefully:
🚗 Parking:
- There will be no on-campus parking for parents during construction.
- The current parking lot will be reserved for staff, as the staff lot will be used for construction equipment.
- Parents and families are asked to park in the empty lot across Ponderosa Drive (see attached map).
- The area near Auto Mart will be clearly marked for parent parking.
- A crossing guard will be in place to help families cross safely.
- Families who normally walk up may wish to try drive-up drop-off during this period for added convenience.
☀️ Morning Drop-Off
- Please take advantage of the additional drop-off lane (AM ONLY) through the parking lot.
- Students will be dropped off near the crosswalk. Please do not allow students to exit vehicles until your car reaches that area.
-
Staff will be in place to assist with unloading.
- The regular drop-off lanes will remain open.
🌙 Afternoon Pick-Up
- Parents will not have access to campus until 3:20 p.m., as the drop-off lanes will be part of a temporary play area.
- To help minimize congestion, we’ll follow a staggered pick-up schedule:
- A–L: 3:30–3:45 p.m.
- M–Z: 3:45–4:00 p.m.
-
Students attending tutoring may be picked up at 4:00 p.m.
- Families may park across Ponderosa and walk up to Door A, or use the drive-up lanes to pick up from Door B as usual.
-
Handicap parking will remain available for cars displaying a valid permit.

Thank you for your patience and cooperation as we navigate these changes and continue to make progress on our exciting construction project. Your understanding and support make all the difference in keeping our school community safe and running smoothly!
With appreciation,

Earn Cash Back for GVA-DC
Effortless fundraising is a way we raise money for GVA and for PIC without having to sell anything! We do this by asking our school families to save items that they already have in their homes, use cards at stores where they already shop, or shop through our online links. It’s a small act that can make a huge difference!
